Relational Ministries was developed as the result of seeing the same people return again and again to seek help with continuing problems. It is evident that the poor and the homeless need more than instant relief from the constant chaos of emergencies that define their lives. Although community service and faith-based organization projects provide important help, a holistic approach specifically addressing the problems that are created from one generation to another is necessary to combat the problem.

Relational Ministries offers budget counseling, life skills training, and computer training classes. These classes are designed to enhance life skills through education to improve the participants' opportunities in daily life.

The budget counseling class teaches basic budgeting skills that are based on biblical principles of money management. The free 10-week course includes one-on-one counseling sessions with a trained budget counselor. Incentives may be offered for attending class, completing assignments, and doing homework.

The life skills class is a free 10-week course that offers instruction in basic ways to relate to other people better, including stress and anger management, conflict resolution, and setting boundaries. Designed for both adults and teens, the class allows considerable interaction and discussion of life situations. The goal is to help the students advance in their current jobs or to find better jobs.

The computer training class is held at the Love INC office in Eatontown. The class is open to beginners and those with some computer experience. Students will learn Microsoft Word and Excel and how to access the internet.
