One Year In a Motel

"Homeless for a year?!" the Love INC staff member asked. "Yes," replied Lisa. "My four children and I were in a motel for a year before we moved into this apartment. The Furnished with Love store helped me with furniture and helped turn my house into a home."

Lisa is a nurse by profession and is working locally to support the family. She has recently become a proud grandmother. Love INC has helped Lisa make the long journey back to stability by providing food referrals, rent assistance, and Christmas presents. She looks forward to the future now as she is getting a license to do child care in her home. She continues to work part time in her nursing profession to help her daughter with the baby. She also just finished taking a home buyers course given by PNC Bank. Her dream is to own her own home one day.

Lisa is trying her best to pull her family out of poverty, and Love INC has been there to try to help her achieve her goals. She is determined to move up, and Love INC is encouraging and supporting her efforts.
