Success Story - Ann
When Ann first made her shocking statement, the Clearinghouse volunteer did not know how to respond. Due to many unfortunate circumstances, Ann's family was currently housed in one of the town's more disreputable motels where drugs and crime were rampant. She feared for the safety of herself and her two children, especially when her husband Mike was at work.

Immediate help was needed. Calls went out to our supporting churches, and in a short time that help started to arrive. First, St. Michael offered to assist with relocation costs. Next, Lutheran Church of the Reformation supplied helping hands to move the family, and then St. Dorothea's and St. James Episcopal provided clothing, toys, and much needed storage boxes.

Once the family was moved, the real work of stabilizing the home began. Working closely with social service agencies, Love INC helped Ann and her family get a new start.

In a recent letter, Ann advised that the family is very happy and recently moved into a new apartment. Mike received a promotion, and the children are once again able to play outside in a safe and carefree environment.
